Intragastric balloon placement is a weight loss procedure that involves placing a silicone balloon filled with saline solution in the stomach. The balloon takes up a lot of space in the stomach, leaving little room for food. As a result, it helps change eating habits and lifestyle, so most patients lose weight and continue to eat a healthy diet even after the balloon is removed.
